A stiff wall is redefined in a space. The use of the maximum composition of an open space hints at the re-demarcation between the public space and private space. A changeable wall connects the flexibility of various life scenarios.
We decided to open up an old apartment over 40 years old. Through a circular open kitchen and open door design, we recreated the space according to the concept of “Living Theater”. We used open, penetrating, and bright methods to break the limits of traditional Asian apartments.
The travel experience of five Nordic countries has made designer GongYu-Wang realized that life should return to the essence of living. In this house planning, Wang would like to convey the design concept of simplicity by delivering the approach through redesigning a 40-pyeong multi-functional living space.
The overall design concept is to remove partitions and maximize public space, allowing eyes to see more. A pleasant hallway is created by cutting off outer walls, where the light, the wind can mingle and be enjoyed.
