The preliminary selection of the Golden Pin Design Award has been completed, and the shortlist of entrants progressing to the secondary selection is announced today (August 12)! This year, the organizer has received 2,706 submissions around the globe, including Taiwan, China, HK, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Poland, USA, Vietnam, Indonesia, India and Philippines. After a round of preliminary judging, 1,691 submissions have advanced to the secondary selection in four categories: product design (790), communication design (471), spatial design (340), and integration design (90).
Multiple entries from ASUSTeK Computer Inc., googoods, Path & Landforms from Taiwan are included in the secondary selection. Other outstanding companies include HP Inc., Moma Industrial Product Design from Shanghai, XIVO Design from Shenzhen, studiowmw from Hong Kong, Creative Crews from Thailand, Changi Airport Group Singapore etc.
Because the pandemic continues to impact the global community, the secondary and final selections for the 2021 Golden Pin Design Award will be held online this year. The “Design Mark” winners will be announced on Thursday, September 9. These winners will also be eligible to advance to the final round and will compete for Best Design. Then on Thursday, September 30, we will announce the finalists for the Best Design winners, and the winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony in December.
