The exhibition gathered designers and artists across disciplines to explore the idea of uniting local industry with the concepts of the circular economy. Visitors could readjust their opinions toward traditional craftsmanship and appreciate the beauty embedded in glass. The event also hoped to embed glass manufacturing into the Hsinchu identity.
Based on the traditional ceremonies celebrating the birthday of “Lord Guan” (Guān Gōng) in Daxi, from 14th of July till 5th of Aug, the three-week long modern festival named “Daxi Daxi” is developed as the pre-celebration and a modern take on the ancient tradition. Creators from various fields join forces to modernize all aspects of the traditional parade.
Stage On the Move, being the thematic hub of 2019 Creative Expo Taiwan, was a 12-day exhibition that showcase the process of Taiwan’s culture evolvement.

2019’s Lantern Festival is held in Pingtung County’s Dapeng Bay.

The Tainan Pavilion of the 2019 Culture Expo is themed “Simmering Fire.” This Taiwanese expression of cooking gently with a small flame echoes with how people in Tainan live a composed, laid-back lifestyle.
