With the tolerance of Mother Nature as the illumination design concept, lighting is gently decorated around the site. As the famous Chinese philosopher, Zhuang Zi once said, “There is great beauty in heaven and earth without words,”. At nightfall, illumination extended the soul of history. Everything became quiet and timeless, and the light was the Helmsman steering this magnificent boat.
“Phases of Water” is a is a public art project located in the Building of Science, National Cheng Kung University(NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan. Water, the fundamental understanding of science, is used as the concept in this project. Three phases of water are represented by geometric composition with 3 different materials. Capturing spatial characteristics from artists’ sense of environment, 3 places, as an important part of performing, are chosen in responding to the 3 phases of water.
Path of Sunrise is a project which mainly focuses on exploring Hsinchu, from brand identity, route planning, user experience design, signage design and website integration. Let tourists can proceed without hindrance and enjoy the beauty of Hsinchu.
The color of doorplates is inspired by the research “Searching for color of Matsu”. The sea color around Dongyin is a mix of pale blue-green with hints of grey. Usually each doorplate needs a single template. Our production method, however, greatly reduced the cost of manufacturing a single plate, from 400 to 14. Considering the strong wind of Matsu and the granite surface of Matsu Stone is uneven, and the divided doorplates can reduce the potential risk of falling due to incomplete attachment.

YELLOW OBJECTS – A poster rally against social injustice and fighting for freedom
Since June 2019, the growingly authoritarian Hong Kong government showed no signs of backing down, so do Hongkongers. Inspired by the social movement, 18 designers spoke up with the language of visual protest, in the format of poster in yellow and black. The exhibition “YELLOW OBJECTS” was a mockery of the brutal and ruthless authority that referred human being as object, and to defend and uphold human dignity.
A 57-year-old building is renovated to be home for NPO HUB Taipei, aiming to nurture impact organizations and social innovation entrepreneurs, catalyze collaboration and drive social change, under the public-private partnership.
Using perspective method and metal rack to create virtual and real depth of frame system in responding to the characteristics of the site. As the site used to be a port of Tainan Canal, with memories related to waterfront events, flow shapes and wave images are used as common pattern language in the exhibition. The light and shadow, also creating perspective effect, are brought in as one of the elements performing the time stream of this place since the age of 1800s.
