The Durasafe store is a new flagship retail environment for Singapore’s leading supplier of premium safety gear and equipment.
The owners, Jefferson and Helen, wanted Durasafe to extend its reach beyond the “business to business” model to include a consumer based store, and they approached Ministry of Design to create a retail environment that would reinforce its existing strong brand presence as well as provide an exciting shopping environment for its predominantly male customer base.
So for example, a structural engineer may prefer to get his own streamlined Raf-Simons-looking safety boots instead of the standard issue ones, or an architect would want his own construction hard hat in a gorgeous colour, or a traveller going trekking in Machu Picchu might want to get lightweight jackets withstanding minus 20-degree temperatures in fashionable designs.
