The Open Paperclip
The Children’s Art Education Center employs the architectural vocabulary of a “paperclip.” Within the existing spatial framework of TFAM – an interlocking matrix of solid strips and empty “white box” spaces – the new center forms an unbroken ribbon, shaped like an “open paperclip,” transforming what were originally independent areas into an open, continuous space accommodating a diversity of forms and allowing flexible use.
The design of the pavilion for the Green Factory infuses the concept of urban life interacting with green landscapes. Here, community members can plant produce in a public garden, which acts as a green base that inspires more of the city’s residents to become urban farmers. The factory was originally a site for labor and production.
“Landscape of the Boundary” is a vessel for carrying sensation; through the generation of sensation, it redefines the entrance plaza of the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. Through the transformation of boundary, the human body is able to move within the vessel, sometimes creating linkage with the building, and sometimes with plants, sunlight and the wind; sometimes there is a coming together, creating the atmosphere of a group, while sometimes there is dissipation, in which the individual is able to identify the corner in which they have their own individual being. The multi-level structure acts as a carrier of light rays. The play of light at different times of day creates a differing interpretation of reality, and the light and shadow intertwine to form a beautiful “symphony”; the contrast between the golden rays of light passing through the installation and the lines formed by the bamboo structural material seem to create a sense of epochal temporality that emphasizes that dialogue between the materials. This is an installation with an immense life force of its own.
Visitors Center of East Coast National Scenic Area Administration is to give the visitors a new perspective to understand East Coast. Firstly, crystalistic sense is used in all the detailed blocks of public sitting room area. Porch shoe ark at the entrance not only with the functionality and storage but also has an elaborate design in form.On the one hand, shoe ark keeps appropriate distance with wall lamp shape to form the three-dimensional composition sense of vertical and horizontal direction. On the other hand, by appropriate hallows of the shoe ark to enrich and strengthen the overall permeability sense. Its proportional relations make mutual echo with the wall’s shape. Porch has clearly become an element of the whole space and a part of logic conception after completed its functionality and form aesthetic feelings. It is very important as the first step for space opening event and weaving space basic skeleton.

Furniture Showroom of Life Master (II) is a relatively special exhibition space design case，its particularity is that designer needs to create a space atmosphere which can at the same time carry the brand furniture with extremely differences.
Based on the large span inclined window settings, furniture inside the hall present a visually fade-in and fade-out dynamic change state as people move their bodies around the hall, it will create a dramatization pattern on the communication between people and furniture. Coupled with the gradient effect of atomizing glass from bottom to top, the store’s overall design provides guests with a more rich experience of watching and consumption to some degree.
On the space atmosphere creation, the designers try to create an integral space interface which can accommodate furniture of two characters in order to eliminate the conflict and tension caused by the collocation of two different furniture styles. The specific strategy is that the invasion and interspersed with each other in two areas of ground and smallpox material under the keynote of the linear elements continuation, so that to some extent come up with relatively appropriate checks and balances for the overall atmosphere settings.
