The monogram, of a special pictograph, provides multiple recognitions, being familiar and strange at once, reasonable but uncommon. This is an attempt at the design of Chinese monographs, an exploration of additional possibilities of Chinese character design based on certain recognizability.

As a part of the activities related to the promotion of the XVth century triptych “The Last Judgement” painted by Hans Memling, we have prepared animation for the National Museum in Gdańsk.
The foundations we use in this video are the stages of “Ban Xi” (Traditional Taiwanese Play) that are commonly seen on the streets in Taiwan and auspicious animals to create a scene of a surreal New Year’s Eve party.

Taiwan Bar Studio was invited to do the animation design for these videos, which use full English language voiceovers and bilingual subtitles to depict interesting aspects of life in Taiwan, making it possible for the world to better get to know Taiwan’s rich and diverse culture.
StarWonderers is a safety video broadcasted on STARLUX Airlines. Before taking off, the airplane always uses a video to convey all the safety information. We aimed to make a fascinating animation with adorable characters and entertaining plots to attract passengers’ attention. No matter what age, language, or background you are, this is definitely the most memorable safety video you have ever seen.
The theme of 2019 Sandbox Immersive Festival is Immersive City, and it’s all about immersing into virtual reality, overlooking the Earth, reviewing familiar spaces from another perspective. Therefore we came up with the concept “Plug-ins”, casting a beam of yellow light onto an office environment. As the light changing forms while switching spaces, the common space shows a very unusual status.
This animation is from LxU New Year Innovative Series. We tried to give an answer for the self-discovery question “what is the meaning of creating ads?” – to be the STARs for the newborn 2020 generation, passing on the truth and power those great ads have given us through time.
