Officially opened in September of 2014, Silks Place Tainan has tried to develop a strong and deep connection with local culture. To reach the goal, the team of Silks Place Tainan and FIH Regent Group has poured a rich historical ambience and local features into the hotel design, furnishing and even the service. From the public space to the details inside the rooms, Silks Place’s artistic style takes on the lobby with the image inspired by Tainan Confucian Temple, the octagonal cutout windows, traditional roll tile wall design, cloud pattern chandelier, ancient Taiwanese-style library, elegant and tranquil tea spot with locally handmade tea cans decoration which represent the “Hōng-Tê” – the warm hospitality culture of Tainan, the oriental calligraphy brush-paneled bed lights and every detailed place of the building. To meet the east and west, past and present, the team of Silks Place Tainan and FIH Regent Group have spent a great deal of time seeking for inspirations and finding the most proper way to present the cultural and historical beauty of Taiwan’s old capital – Tainan to every international business traveler guest!
