Mom cooks uniquely flavoured family dishes from basic ingredients with her special cooking techniques and recipes. For this restaurant, we try to create a distinctive “flavour” with the most common “ingredients” – plastic, steel and wood, and we cook with light and shadow. Under natural daylight and night time illumination, the restaurant looks like a minimal translucent box during daytime, and becomes theatrical with the interlacing shadows of the steel tree sculptures in the evening. Two different atmospheres are created with the same material combination, hence offering two different “flavours” to suit the menus for lunch and dinner.
