The expense of artificial limbs is still high, many poors and low-income families cannot afford it. Taiwan which has healthcare cannot offer the aids of the price and maintenance expense of artificial limbs to the people with disabilities that are in poverty, not to mention in third world countries. The circumstance causes a disadvantage position to people with disabilities competing with others and results the feel of inferior and helplessness.
I replaced the materials of artificial limbs with low-price substitutes available in the markets. The pipes replaced artificial limbs structure and strengthened the intensity by the methods of Tensegrity and 3D Printer. It may attached some simple electric generator devices on the stamping pattern or joints of artificial limbs in the future, and make it capable to restore the electricity while walking and support some functions that require small amount of electricity from it (e.g., send emergency signals, mobile phone charger). Users may get the artificial limbs in low price and retain the original function of it.
I expect that the replacement artificial limbs would become a modularity system for people who have disabilities obtain parts of limbs easily. The repair would be easier, more convenient and lower in price, no need to worry for the high price of artificial limbs and maintenance fee. People with disabilities and artificial limbs would be treated better in society.
