The exterior of Umai incorporates horizontal ink painting concepts. Metal items and mesh wire combine with the interior glass to form a transparent medium. Craggy gray and white coral stones are piled between the metal mesh wire, creating an undulating ridgeline set off with elegant lighting. Wall sconces are used to create a sense of continuity in the stone walls.
