The preliminary selection of the Golden Pin Design Award has been completed, and the shortlist of entrants progressing to the secondary selection is announced today (July 28th)!

This year, the organizer has received 2,765 submissions from 17 countries/regions, including Taiwan, China, HK, Thailand, Singapore, Macau, Japan, USA, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Germany, Poland, Australia, UK, Korea and Canada. After a round of preliminary judging, 1,827 submissions have advanced to the secondary selection in four categories: product design (776), communication design (581), spatial design (330), and integration design (140).

Many companies outperform with multiple shortlisted entries, including Baseus Technology (China), ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (Taiwan), One Work Design (Taiwan), Foshan Hongyi Industrial Design (China), Kimhung Design (HK), New Arriva (Thailand), HP Inc. (USA) and 27 Design (Taiwan) etc.

Because the pandemic continues to impact the global community, the secondary and final selections for the 2022 Golden Pin Design Award will be held online this year. The shortlisted entries will be evaluated based on the submitted application documents. Entrants do not need to submit a physical entry.

The secondary selection will be held in mid-August, and the “Design Mark” winners will be announced in early September. Winners will also be eligible to advance to the final round and compete for the Best Design and Special Annual Award. The finalists of these two top honors will be announced in October and revealed at the awards ceremony scheduled for early December.
