As times change, it is essential for art museums and their affiliated public spaces in Taiwan to keep pace with the evolving landscape. This has led to the initiation of a project aimed at transforming these public spaces with a strong emphasis on aesthetics and enhancing the overall user experience.

Serving as both the frontage of the art museum and an all-day accessible facility for the public, the original condition of the public toilet was inadequate due to the use of outdated design principles, which has resulted in the blocking off of the original openings with low walls and dividers. This has led to poor ventilation and lighting within the toilet, creating a damp and dark environment with increased visual blind spots. This project encompasses a holistic renovation of the public restroom, signage system, and lighting. It stems from a thorough reassessment of the existing structure system and the demands of the visitors.
