"1 House for All" is an urban renewal initiative that addresses contemporary housing transformations, inadequate infrastructure in old urban areas, and the need for energy-efficient and low-carbon urban architecture. It involves constructing mid-way houses on idle urban land during the waiting period for comprehensive urban renewal. These houses utilize low-carbon and circular construction methods, filling the temporal and spatial gaps during the renewal process.

Socially, "1 House for All" caters to diverse family types and fosters co-living and mutual assistance while preserving open spaces as community infrastructure. It promotes social integration at the family, community, and city levels.

Environmentally, the project embraces circular design principles, allowing the mid-way houses to be disassembled, relocated, and rebuilt. Innovative energy-saving designs ensure a high quality of life with minimal energy consumption, maximizing building materials' lifespan and benefits while minimizing construction costs and carbon footprints.

Economically, "1 House for All" addresses the stagnation of urban renewal and promotes a transition to a low-carbon circular economy. By utilizing idle spaces during the waiting period and incorporating a material bank, it contributes to the transformation of Taiwan's construction industry.

The "1 House for All" team participated in the "Solar Decathlon Europe 21/22" in Germany, receiving recognition with the 1st prize for Architectural Award and the 3rd prize for Innovation Award. Currently, the project is being implemented to make a significant impact on Taiwan's urban areas and serve as a model for sustainable urban renewal.
