Wood is 100% environmentally friendly, tough, and, with its great damping capability, an excellent material for making bicycle frames. After two years of research and development, the project team tackled every aspect of woodworking, including weight, strength, weather resistance, and manufacturing, and finally created the first tubular wooden frame bicycle, Triwood, in Taiwan. This is achieved by combining the latest computer-aided design, CNC/CAM manufacturing technologies, and years of woodworking experience. Our wooden frame, paired with the internal-geared hub from SHIMANO, can offer riders a quiet, smooth, and well-damped cycling experience like no other. In terms of exterior design, the design team focused on demonstrating the warm feeling of natural wood with smooth curves and woods of three different tones. We believe the result really speaks for itself. Finally, with our proprietary finish, the wooden frame is well protected against the weather and sunlight, without losing the touch of fine wood. With proper maintenance, a Triwood bicycle will remain in service for many many years to come.
