The Tjuabar Village Community Center in Daren Township, Taitung, is a key gathering place and cultural landmark for the East Paiwan people. Responding to local culture, the design uses sculptural concrete, perforated bricks, bamboo, and slate to express Indigenous aesthetics in a modern language. Blending traditional symbols with contemporary needs, it offers shelter while carrying ancestral beliefs, tribal memory, and communal sentiment.
