'Island Synchronisation’ is an installation investigating time, nature and co-existence. Located in Chi Ma Wan, Hong Kong, the project proposes an alternative methodology for forming island structures that merge undersea habitats with a resting place for divers and fishing villagers. Returning to low-tech concrete paste and sand-casting methods, the floating rock formation slowly transforms through time, tinted with the colours of nature, blurring the line between man-made and nature.
