In 2025, the Golden Pin Design Award continues to collaborate with leading media platforms across the fields of design, architecture, and culture, working together to amplify the visibility of award-winning projects and design teams while communicating the broader value and impact of design. This year, the award partners with a total of 39 media organizations worldwide, further strengthening its international communication network.

New partners joining the network in 2025 include Taiwan-based Bella Magazine and EVERYDAY OBJECT; Thailand’s Urban Creature and Bangkok Design Week (BKKDW); Korea’s long-established design magazine DESIGN; the Philippines-based creative platform Kanto; Japan’s renowned design information hub JDN; and Italian design media MAP Design Communication, DesignWanted, and designboom.

 

Taiwan Media Partners

In Taiwan, the Golden Pin Design Award continues its close collaboration with a wide range of media platforms across design, lifestyle, architecture, and culture—working together to translate design thinking into everyday experience and public discourse.

Among the new partners this year is EVERYDAY OBJECT, founded in 2013, a lifestyle platform centered on the idea of “meaningful choices.” Focusing on the relationship between objects, spaces, and people, it has expanded beyond editorial content to include curation, publishing, exhibitions and podcast series, building a contemporary expression of design rooted in daily life. Also newly joining is Bella, the first women’s fashion magazine in Taiwan. Since its relaunch in 2017, Bella has embraced the philosophy “Dare to be yourself, dare to believe,” exploring fashion, design, architecture, and lifestyle through the lens of confident, multifaceted contemporary women.

In the design and lifestyle media sector, La Vie has long explored the practice of everyday aesthetics. Through an integrated content ecosystem spanning magazines, books, digital platforms, and social media, La Vie continues to guide audiences in understanding design as part of daily life while expanding the imagination and depth of lifestyle. Shopping Design, guided by the values “interesting, useful, and meaningful,” examines how design intersects with lifestyle, commerce, and cultural innovation, reaching audiences through its website, social media, print magazine, and podcast. 

Focusing on graphic design and visual communication, Circle offers in-depth features, thematic projects, and international trend coverage, serving as a continuous source of insight and inspiration for design professionals. Founded in 2006 and transitioning into a digital-first platform in 2024, DFUN has long observed the intersections of design, aesthetics, and culture. Through cross-disciplinary collaborations, it connects designers, brands, and readers, positioning itself as a platform for aesthetic dialogue and public reflection.

In the fields of architecture and spatial design, the Golden Pin Design Award also works closely with established professional media. DesignWant, part of the LMG Media Group, delivers daily coverage of international projects spanning residential, commercial, architectural, and product design. Living & Design focuses on residential design, curating global case studies that inspire readers to reimagine living spaces. id SHOW brings together insights from over 500 designers and real-world projects, offering a comprehensive view of Taiwan’s design industry alongside global trends.

Founded in 1989, interior is one of the longest-running spatial design publications in the Chinese-speaking world. Published bilingually, it introduces leading architectural and interior projects while serving as a bridge between Taiwan and the international design community. House Style tracks material applications, design trends, and aesthetic movements, providing an essential reference for industry professionals. MyHOME reports on residential trends and design practices, fostering dialogue between designers and the public. Through in-depth reporting and critical perspectives on cities, architecture, and culture, MOT TIMES explores the diversity of Taiwanese and global design culture. 

In the broader cultural media landscape, Very Mulan highlights real stories of women engaged in social innovation, supporting the visibility and impact of female voices across disciplines. 500times, guided by the spirit of “meaningful, insightful, and bold,” presents contemporary culture through publishing, audiovisual content, and curatorial projects such as 500 Plates and 500 Young, documenting emerging creative talent and lifestyle trends in Taiwan. Off Course: Focus on Life Style, a lifestyle channel under CommonWealth Magazine, focuses on style, culture, travel, and food, encouraging readers to rediscover a balanced rhythm of living.

Positioned as a hybrid cultural platform, VERSE examines cultural trends, creative strategies, and social issues, and has itself received Golden Pin Design Award recognition for editorial and visual excellence. XinMedia, part of the Lion Group, integrates travel, culture, aesthetics, fashion, and wellness into a comprehensive lifestyle media platform, serving as a hub for inspiration and accessible knowledge. Dedicated to Japanese culture and design, QDY Magazine explores Taiwan–Japan cultural exchange through a distinctive and humorous editorial voice, earning multiple Golden Tripod and Golden Pin Design Awards over the years.

 

International Media Partners

The Golden Pin Design Award also maintains long-standing collaborations with professional media platforms across Asia and Europe, fostering ongoing dialogue and exchange within the broader Chinese-speaking and international design communities.

In Greater China, Youju Vision, jointly developed by Youju and Tencent, focuses on the home and living sector, covering renovation trends, product reviews, and industry developments. Serving both consumers and professionals, it has become an important knowledge platform within China’s interior design field. TOPYS is a leading creative content platform in China, dedicated to discovering thoughtful voices across the global creative landscape. With over 20,000 original articles—including in-depth interviews with internationally recognized creatives, case studies, studio features, and city culture guides—TOPYS continues to shape discourse within the creative industries. Under Sina.com, Sina Real Estate Design and Sina Homeware have long reported on architecture and interior design, connecting professional practice with industry insight through news coverage, design cases, expert commentary, and online communities.

In Thailand, new partner Urban Creature joins the network this year. As a digital platform focused on urban stories and future living proposals, it explores urban innovation in Thailand and beyond through a creative lens, while actively organizing city walks, workshops, and exhibitions to encourage public engagement with everyday environments. Since last year, the Golden Pin Design Award has also partnered with Creative Thailand, a media platform under Thailand’s Creative Economy Agency (CEA), which examines how creativity drives economic development and public policy. Building on this collaboration, the Award has further partnered with Bangkok Design Week (BKKDW) this year, expanding opportunities for exchange between the Taiwanese and Thai design communities.

Alongside new partnerships, the Golden Pin Design Award continues its collaboration with established Thai media. Founded in 1995, art4d is a bimonthly publication dedicated to architecture, design, and art, publishing in both Thai and English to connect Thailand’s design community with the international stage. Online platform Art of spans a wide range of creative fields—from traditional art and contemporary design to history and popular culture—presenting creative ideas in an accessible, narrative-driven manner while providing a platform for both emerging and established creators. Published by the Amarin Group, room focuses on spatial design and lifestyle aesthetics, and annually curates its 100 BEST DESIGN feature to highlight outstanding architectural and interior projects worldwide. Emerging digital media Dsign Something centers on architecture, landscape, and interior design, sharing global case studies while actively building networks among Thai design practitioners.

Across East and Southeast Asia, several influential media platforms joined collaboration this year. Korea’s DESIGN magazine—the country’s longest-running design publication, founded in 1976—covers product, graphic, spatial, architectural, digital, and brand design, serving as a comprehensive record of Korea’s design development. Japan’s JDN, established in 1997, delivers up-to-date design news, designer profiles, interviews, and event information from Japan and abroad, while also operating platforms related to education, careers, and competitions, making it a trusted design information hub. Philippine-based digital platform Kanto, founded in 2015, focuses on the everyday realities and professional practices of contemporary creatives, offering a space where creative voices from around the world can be seen, heard, and engaged in dialogue.

Beyond newly joined partners, the Award also maintains ongoing collaborations with several long-standing media partners across Asia, continuing to support sustained dialogue within the regional design community. Hong Kong’s IdN magazine publishes bilingually in Chinese and English, with each issue dedicated to a specific design theme, presenting global visual design works and creative thinking as an essential reference for designers and enthusiasts alike.

In Malaysia, CUTOUT is widely recognized within Asia’s design circles for its distinctive visual language and cross-disciplinary perspective, featuring graphic design, cultural commentary, and in-depth interviews, and has previously received the Golden Pin Design Award’s Best Design of the Year. Also based in Malaysia, ACGMEDIA Group continues its collaboration this year, publishing seven design magazines—including Metropolitan Home, Designer Concept, Commercial Concept, ARCHILAB, Asia Design, Baccarat Malaysia, and Fixtures—alongside its digital platform designspeak.asia, with influence spanning residential, architectural, and design industries. 

Expanding into Europe, the Golden Pin Design Award has partnered with three leading Italian media platforms. Founded in 2015, DesignWanted reports on global design developments through features, interviews, and trend analysis, promoting professional exchange and sustainable advancement within the design industry. Established in 1999, designboom operates across Milan, Beijing, and New York and is widely regarded as one of the world’s most influential online design media, covering architecture, design, technology, and art through carefully curated content. With over two decades of international experience, MAP Design Communication focuses on design, architecture, and lifestyle, supporting brands, designers, and institutions in strengthening their global visibility through strategic communication.

 

Continuing the Conversation

Beyond recognizing outstanding works and design talent, the Golden Pin Design Award continues to expand the reach and depth of design discourse through sustained collaboration with media partners across Asia and beyond. By working alongside platforms rooted in diverse cultural contexts, the Award seeks to ensure that design ideas are not only seen, but also understood, discussed, and carried into broader social conversations.

The 2025 Golden Pin Design Award concluded with its award ceremony on December 5. Registration for the 2026 edition is expected to open in March.
